Change the Equation, But First, the Mindset
Behaviors are not easily changed without first a shift in thinking about the educability of children, particularly those living in poverty or marginalized communities. We have yet to settle comfortably on paradigms of leading and teaching which enable us to see instructional policies, guideposts and practices ways by which the gifts of all children can be explored, nurtured and accelerated. Courage is a prerequisite of this effort. Collective insight, commitment to change and resilience will follow. The time is now.

Website Communication to Families and School Community
Clear communication to families and the school community is vital. To many, Depth and Complexity is a mystery. Through our website, we show parents how we teach children to organize information in various ways, make meaningful connections, develop higher order thinking skills, and prepare them to be 21st century learners. Ideally, parents are partners in student success. When provided with a foundational knowledge of the gifted strategies used by teachers at school, this can happen.
