The California Association for the Gifted has defined the concept of differentiation to respond to the academic, social and emotional traits of gifted students. Opportunities to apply, transfer, extend, innovate, and individualize as we differentiate the core content are represented. This session will provide an opportunity within English Language Arts & History/Social Science to both update and reinforce the definitions and examples of differentiation that are responsive to the gifted student’s needs, interests, and abilities.
