Recognizing and Cultivating Talents for Spatial Thinking and Visualization

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, check-in, leave feedback and see who's attending!

“Spatially gifted” students have the ability to visualize complex objects, mentally transform their visualizations to solve problems, and find patterns in spatial relationships. Spatial skills are especially valuable in engineering, scientific, and mathematical fields. This session will include a spatial thinking challenge to help attendees recognize spatial thinking and to spark a discussion of what spatial talents they may have observed in students already and how to help students fully realize spatial talents.
